WHAT'S NEW IN OUR LOCALIt's Election Time Again! Nominations were held at the April 21st meeting. Election will be by mail in ballots. You all have the ballot by now, please remeber this is time sensitive so please mail back or hand deliver your ballot (in the self addressed envelope) to the office by 5:00 p.m. Monday May 26.. Results will be at the May 26 meeting. Make sure you vote, it's your union! WELCOME to SHERRY WADDLE our new staff member. Sherry is the new Office Assistant/Receptionist. Direct Deposit started on April 1... Members have you filled in YOUR forms????? Thanks to all who attended the SPOTLIGHT AND HOUSE LIGHTS Orientation at REXALL PLACE and to those who made it happen!!!!!!

UPCOMING SEMINARS AND MEETINGSGENERAL MEETINGS The next General Meeting will be held on Monday, MAY 26, 2008 at the Union Office at 7:00 pm. * Meetings are usually held on the 4th Monday of the month unless circumstances require a change. *
May 13 and 14 Forklift - $150.00 plus gst Aerial - up to 125' $150.00 plus gst Hertz Rental TBA May 24 and 25 Fall Arrest- full course-8hrs - $150.00 plus gst Re-certification - 4 hrs $90.00 plus gst IATSE boardroom 08:30 am *if you are wanting to re-certify, please bring in your current card. We can only re-certify if it was an OSSA course that you originally took.* June 7 and 8 First Aid/CPR - Last one till September 9 am to 5 pm IATSE boardroom $100.00 includes gst For more info and/or to register, email to leanne@thesafetycoach.ca or call 984-0657. I will be calling those that have signed up on the list at the office. Please bring your cheque/money on the day for your instructor. Then bring in your receipt and card/certificate to the office as proof of your completion of that course. We will then photocopy it and put it on your file and you will be eligible as a member to receive back %50 of you course cost!! WOW! What a deal, just to stay safe, and current!!
