COURSES Set Etiquette and Protocol Attend this information packed seminar and learn what to expect when you are called to work on a film set and what you are supposed to do when you arrive on set. This workshop will provide you with vocabulary and details about the chain of command in the film crew. Find out who does what, the behaviour that is expected of you, and what you need to bring to a call. WHMIS, First Aide, JUB Airlift, Forklift, Fall Arrest, etc., Please be advised that training for WHMIS, First Aid, Fall Protection, Forklift or Aerial Lift will no longer be organized through IATSE Local 210. Reimbursement is 60% for Members and 40% for Permits of the cost of the course. Funds will be available to you upon completion and passing of any the above listed courses. A copy of certification is also required prior to reimbursement. Please review the following information from Leavitt or seek out another qualified training provider.
FROM LEAVITT As a proud service provider for IATSE 291/SHAPE in Vancouver, BC we are happy to honour these same discounted rates for IATSE 210 in Edmonton. Our programs are designed to cover WCB standards in both BC and AB; therefore all certifications would be valid and transferrable to both provinces. This includes 3 year certification in Alberta for the following: - Refresher Training 8 hrs $110 *must have previous Leavitt qualification - Experienced Operator Training 8 hrs $175 - Inexperienced Operator Training 16 hrs $275 - Fall Protection Awareness Training 8 hrs $200 *Note that BC forklift certification is valid for a period of two years only. Your members would need to contact our office at 1-866-291-3322 to book training, identify themselves as IATSE members and should ask for myself at the time of booking. All members are required to leave a credit card number at the time of booking. Cancellation policy is 50% for those called in 5 business days before the course and 100% for cancellation made in less than one business’ day.
